Create Your Vehicle Fair Trade Account

Creating a Vehicle Fair Trade account takes about two minutes, and you can start without a credit card.

Sign up with your email, verify it, and turn on two-factor authentication. You land on the free tier with no card and no trial period, ready to build your first evaluation.

Step 1: Sign up with your email

Vehicle Fair Trade uses your email as your login. Enter it, set a password, and your account is created. No sales call and no card are required to start; the free tier is genuinely free.

Step 2: Verify your email

You will receive a verification email. Click the link to confirm the address is yours. Verification is required before you can use the account. It keeps invalid signups out and ensures that account emails, such as password resets, reach you.

Your account can hold more than one verified email. Adding your work email matters for one reason in particular: it is how Vehicle Fair Trade confirms you belong to your dealership. A verified email at your dealership’s domain lets you create your dealership. If your store has automatic team membership turned on, verifying that address also joins you to its team, no invitation needed. Manage your addresses under Email Address in your account settings.

Step 3: Turn on two-factor authentication

Your account can hold wholesale data and a Twilio number that sends texts on your dealership’s behalf, so protecting it is recommended. VFT supports an authenticator app (TOTP), passkeys and security keys (WebAuthn), and recovery codes. Set up at least one method , and store your recovery codes somewhere other than the device you use to sign in.

What you get on the free tier

The free tier lets you try the basics, decode VINs, build evaluations, and see how the workflow operates, before you choose a paid plan. Start a New Evaluation whenever you are ready. FAQ

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. The free tier needs no card and has no trial period. You add billing only when you choose a paid plan.

Why do I have to verify my email?

To confirm the address is yours, keep invalid signups out, and ensure that account emails such as password resets reach you.

Is two-factor authentication required?

It is strongly recommended. Your account holds wholesale data and can send texts on your dealership’s behalf, so the extra step is worthwhile. VFT supports authenticator apps, passkeys, and recovery codes.

What if I lose my phone or security key?

Recovery codes cover that case. Save them when you set up two-factor authentication, in a location separate from your main device.

Can I add more than one email address?

Yes. Verify as many addresses as you use. A verified work email at your dealership’s domain is what lets you create your dealership, and can join you to its team automatically if the store has that turned on.

Can I have more than one user on the account?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited team members, free tier included, so add as many users as your dealership needs.
