Window Stickers
Generate a Window Sticker for a Vehicle
The window sticker is the factory’s record of how a vehicle was built. Generating it takes a VIN and a few seconds, and it removes the need to enter the options by hand.
Enter the VIN and Vehicle Fair Trade looks up the OEM window sticker for that vehicle: the trim, factory options, and original MSRP. Use it to confirm the build and pre-fill the evaluation, so the options on the appraisal match the actual vehicle.
Step 1: Enter the VIN
Open a New Evaluation and start with the 17-character VIN, the same one you would decode for an evaluation. The sticker is tied to that exact VIN, so it retrieves the build for that specific unit.
Step 2: Generate the window sticker
Select Window sticker. Vehicle Fair Trade looks up the OEM window sticker for the VIN and shows the factory build: the trim, standard equipment, factory-installed options and packages, and the original MSRP. A preview is also available if you want to check a build without starting a full appraisal.

Step 3: Use it to pre-fill the evaluation
The factory options carry into the evaluation, so you do not retype the engine and option list, and you do not estimate the trim. The standard fields are correct by default, which leaves your time for the walk-around.
What it is good for, and what it is not
The sticker confirms the factory build. It does not show aftermarket or dealer-installed extras, and it says nothing about current condition. For a full explanation of why the build matters to your number, see the OEM window stickers overview.
FAQ
What do I need to generate a window sticker?
The vehicle’s VIN. The sticker is looked up from the 17-character VIN.
Can I pull a sticker for a used vehicle?
Yes, as long as OEM data is available for it. The lookup works from the VIN, new or used.
Does the sticker fill in my evaluation?
Yes. The factory options and build carry into the evaluation so you do not retype them.
Does it show options someone added later?
No. It is the factory record only. Aftermarket and dealer-installed extras were never on the original sticker.
What if there’s no sticker data for the VIN?
Older or unusual units may have limited or no OEM data. You would enter the build by hand in those cases.
